| John Theobald, after receiving a Bachelor of Science degree from York University, spent the following 10 years selling scientific and medical equipment in Western Canada. This exposure to the workings of modern medicine provided insights that convinced him of the importance of staying healthy, to learn as much as possible about natural, and alternative approaches to health and wellness.
This was followed by a 20 year career in the sport SCUBA diving industry, manufacturing and selling diving equipment as well as teaching the sport across Canada.

By the time John discovered the work of Dr. med. Ryke Geerd Hamer, he had already a broad understanding of approaches to health and wellness that differ from the conventional view. German New Medicine was the missing piece. It offered a detailed explanation of the "disease" cycle, based on biological natural laws rather than on standard or “alternative” theories.
He has been studying GNM with Caroline Markolin, Ph.D. since 2006 and teaches this important paradigm-shifting work throughout the province of British Columbia, Canada.
